• The Water signs (Cancer, Pisces, Scorpio)

 

The water signs are more emotional and follow their heart, not their mind. They are very nurturing and like to protect and are very sensitive.

 

• The Air signs (Aquarius, Libra, Gemini)

 

The air signs are the opposite of water signs. They are quick, witty and listen to their brain, not their heart. Some may even describe them as being quite cold to others because of the way they push away their own feelings.

 

• The Earth signs (Virgo, Capricorn, Taurus)

 

The earth signs are deeply rooted in their space and are slow to change. They take everything one step at a time and think before they act.

All twelve of the zodiac signs have their own personality and a ruling planet which represents something. For example, Aries are known to be passionate, impulsive and temperamental. Their ruling planet, Mars, represents raw energy such as anger, sex drive and competitiveness; all of the traits that a typical Aries shows. Another great example of the zodiac sign’s connection to their ruling planet is Gemini. Gemini’s ruling planet is Mercury which is the planet of communication which may be the reason why Gemini’s are such talkative, intellectual people.

However, you are not only associated with one zodiac sign. In fact you are associated to a lot of different zodiac signs, all at once. Your sun sign is the sign that you are associated with for your date of birth. This is where the sun was positioned when you were born. Your sun sign represents you as a whole. You are associated with a different sign for each of the planets, depending on where the planet’s position was when you were born. Each of the planets represent a different aspect of you. For example, if your Venus sign is in Pisces, then you show your love and affection for people as a Pisces would because Venus is the planet of love and relationships.

If you don’t match up with your sun sign there are a couple of reasons of why that maybe. Below are reasons why you might not match up with your zodiac sign:

• You were born near the end or beginning of your zodiac sign month – Sometimes the reason your personality might not match up with your zodiac sign is because you were born very close to the end or the beginning of your zodiac sign month, meaning that your personality might be more fit for the zodiac sign beside yours.

• You are not looking at every detail of your astrological chart – As I have discussed above there’s a lot more to astrology than just your main sign. Astrology is very complex and hard to understand. Many people tend to oversimplify astrology and not look at their full astrological chart, meaning that they only look at one aspect of themselves, not the whole thing.

 

• The way your environment has influenced you – Everyone is different and has grown up in different environments with different people, which has influenced you as you grow older. Therefore, even if you may be an introverted fire sign or an unemotional water sign, there is a chance that this is because of the environment you’ve grown up in,and the people in your life.

 

To conclude, astrology is very complicated,where the stars and the planets affect our personalities and our behaviors towards life and other activities. Each of the zodiac signs are special and different in their own way.
